Prayer of the Andes | Grey Baby Alpaca Fur Cape is a ceremonial cape handwoven in the Andes from 100% ethically sourced baby alpaca wool.  The cape body is deep dark grey, woven with grey symbols, and trimmed in a very rare ombred grey baby alpaca fur. This cape is truly special!  Each cape is made with ancestral Andean weaving techniques by Indigenous women who carry the lineage of their people through thread.

Symbolism
Prayer of the Andes | Grey Baby Alpaca Fur Cape is woven with sacred symbols drawn from Quechua cosmology:
    •    Amaru (Sacred Serpent) – Representing wisdom, transformation, and the Underworld
    •    Kuka K'intucha (Coca Leaf Offering) – Sacred Offering given during times of rituals and celebration
    •    Chakana (Chakana) – Representation of the Andean Cosmovision
    •    Kuntur (Condor) – Sacred Totem Animal and Messenger between Heaven and Earth

Care Instructions
To preserve your piece:
    •    Dry clean - or hang outside in the sun. Alpaca is a highly intuitive self cleaning fiber that works with the elements to return to it’s original form
    •   Gently spot clean with a soft, damp cloth for minor spills
    •   These items were not intended to be stored in closets. We recommend using them as home decor in between use. As with any wool be aware of moths.
