Known as the Queen of the Forest, the Samauma tree is one of the most sacred and majestic beings in the Amazon. Towering above the canopy, she bridges earth and sky—offering protection, perspective, and profound healing to all beings in her domain. In Huni Kuin tradition, Samauma is revered for her 70 healing gifts—each part of the tree offering a unique medicine for physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Each village is traditionally centered around a great Samauma tree, where people gather to pray and give thanks. At the base of its massive trunk—where natural hollows and caverns form—they often build a simple chapel with a palm-frond roof, creating a sacred space for ceremony and connection.

How to Use
Hapé is administered using one of two tools:
    •    Kuripe – self-applicator used in solo practice
    •    Tepi – long applicator used to serve another in ceremony

To use:
    1.    Sit in silence, set your intention.
    2.    Connect to God and your guides asking for support.
    2.    Load a pea-sized amount into the pipe.
    3.    Blow firmly into each nostril envisioning the breath of God coming through your crown and into your body, reloading between nostrils, often starting with the left (feminine side) however our Amazon guides have let us know that it is also all a very personally guided experience and if you want to focus on your masculine aspects, then it is good to start with the right side first.
    4.    Allow the medicine to move. Breathe. Rest. Reflect.
